Micro Prayer

This past Sunday at New Hope Bible Church guest speaker Ron Thomson came and preached on prayer. The purpose of this blog is to briefly summarize the message and provide questions for our Tuesday evening bible study.

Sermon Summery

Ron's message was on prayer and he briefly covered 4 short (micro) prayers in the Bible.

Opening
You can pray anytime anywhere, prayers do not need to be long, many prayers in the bible are short. Prayer is another currency of heaven and has a good return on investment.

Questions

  • When have you prayed these prayers? Have you ever prayed like a Pharisee (for yourself about yourself)?
  • Are you good at failing? Does NHBC know how to fail? How do we measure success?
  • Is Isaiah's prayer something that can/should be prayed corporately? What does that look like, what are we (NHBC) being recruited for?
